Its hard to put into words all that has happened in the last month. It is also hard to do it in 10 minutes – which is all the time i have left before I need to roll out to the village. So here’s a photo-heavy not-so-wordy post about the last month here in Kathmandu. Enjoy…
Z Street is my home & office. Prem’s t-shop is my focal point. The street is his children’s playground. They run around taxis, motorbikes, and people. Everyone watches over them.
The city is filled with color…

We don’t speak the same words, but we understand laughter.

The elephants need to be washed… and I’m happy to help.

An elephant’s skin is both soft and tough. They are giant gentle creatures – but capable of much force. Their hairs are thick and plastic-like.

I’m not sure if you feel what I feel… but for a moment, we are one.

…and filled with many colorful details.

It rains almost everyday now. How can so much water come from the sky?

Less tourists now. The streets are ours again.

…and the details shine through.

Back in the city a building is torn down with hammers…

…by the hands of women & children.

..in a temple that looms over the city.

…but still… they come to pray.

You want to meet the locals…. get on top of the bus…

Everything has its gradations… i know this.. but…

..what is in this life for us?

Now, i’m moving on. More soon.
