Well… my short art-teaching stint at the school is finished. I am glad, to tell you the truth.
Working within the village and government school culture was extremely challenging. In retrospect.. I don’t think anything could be accomplished in four weeks. It would have been more beneficial if i had committed 6 months or a year.
I could write for days about the particular frustrations i had during my experience. I could write a ton covering my fresh perspective about volunteering in Nepal.. but i don’t want to remember it that way.
I want to remember the kids. I want to remember the beauty of the village. I want to remember their innocence.
In the end… the greatest benefactor of this experience was me.
